OUR SPEAKERS

We are delighted to welcome to GreenFest 22 speakers who are both knowledgeable and eminent in their field. The programme is still being finalised but have a look at the line up so far . . .

Talks at the Litten will be focused on 'Me and my community', looking at what we can change and do as individuals and communities. Speakers include Michael Liebrich and David Waltham.

Talks at the Church will be centred around big topics such as biodiversity, clean energy, sustainable farming/enlightened agriculture, and pollution. These will be keynote talks, focusing on the UK, followed hopefully by a panel discussion. Speakers include Sir Brian Hoskins, Estelle Bailey and Michael Liebrich.

And at the Good Life Hub, the theme will be 'Join the dots', focusing on the impact of our consumption, exploring the supply chain and looking at both the environmental and human cost. Speakers include Ginnie Chadywk-Healey and Earth 51.

Once we have finalised the programme please register so we can gauge interest and attendance numbers for each talk. One of the most popular talks in 2019 was a panel discussion  where a panel of experts answered your burning questions - we are hoping to repeat this in 2022 so keep a note of any questions you think of. This is your chance to quiz the experts.

= for children / child friendly
Several of our talks are aimed at children / child-friendly and there'll be plenty of activities to distract the not so interested ones.

Our Event Programme will be published as soon as we are able, but for now have a look at the programme for 2019 (below) to see just how much talent and knowledge is likely to be available.

Helen Spriggs, Owner of
Spriggs Nutrition and a BANT and CNHC registered Nutritionist
How to eat Locally, Seasonally and Sustainably 2019      Duration: 30 minutes          Venue: St Mary's Church
Sustainable eating goes beyond following a specific 'diet' or only choosing organic. There are a number of factors we should be weighing up, not just to be sustainable, but to ensure we are nutritious and to optimise our health. Factors such as considering what we eat, where it's from, how much we buy and how we store and cook food, are all part of the equation.

Food is more than just fuel; it's information. Being vegan or vegetarian doesn't mean you're healthy. In her talk, Helen will consider some simple, realistic changes we can make, dispel a few food myths and provide some top tips on healthy and sustainable nutrition.

Helen will have a stand at GreenFest so will be available all day to answer any questions you many have.
