Street Art Life Performance
The WOM Collective from South London organize monthly Graffiti Jams through out the year where young and old join different artists to paint and collaborate. GreenFest will be welcoming the WOM Collective to create an all day, hands-on ‘have-a-go‘ street artfest - for over 12 year olds. One part of WOM is Mural artist Layla Cope who is an art therapist from Thatcham (did Kennet Centre mural and others around West Berks too) She said: “I like working in the community with teenagers to show them that you don’t need to go and spray swear words, you can do something good with it. “I want to promote the positive side of street art. It’s a lot more acceptable than it was 20 years ago.” The Jams aim to bring community and artists together to enjoy an artistic experience full of inspiration, unity and art. The theme for their GREENFEST GRAFFITI JAM IS ‘MOTHER EARTH’ The second WOM member who we are so excited can join us on DEAN MEADOW is Carleen Desozer @carleendesozer who has worked for nearly 20 years in a multitude of art mediums and formats from tattooing to airbrushing, graphic design to CD Cover design and from canvas to walls. Carleen also teaches adults and youth. When asked what she does for a living, she’ll comfortably simply state “I Supply Art” she's got some serious skills! https://www.instagram.com/reel/CgCYSrBFQeq/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link https://www.instagram.com/p/CSKf8tgsKKY/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link |
