A Stitch in Time
Time: throughout the day - just turn up Venue: tbc 'Make do and mend' helps save resources, but do you know how? Come and find out by binging along items of clothing that you would like advice on repairing/repurposing. No prior knowledge needed. No booking is required but if you could register your interest (once the link is live) that will help our planning.
And you can take this opportunity to buy a Mindfulness Inspiration Pack to create your own work of art such as the one shown left. Have a look at the 'Waste not, want not' page for how to bring unwanted fabric lengths, wool, thread, etc. that you can bring to GreenFest to be reused by the OC Textile Centre. |
Forest School
Venue: The Shop Orchard Forest School is new to GreenFest 2022. We have some wonderful local nature champions and experts delivering hands-on, nature-based workshops that will educate, inspire and connect us with the natural world that surrounds us.
GreenFest's Forest School will be set in the grounds of the Shop Orchard, where 65 heritage fruit grow in meadowed terraces. The site is close to both the woods and the River Pang - a perfect setting for our school. All Forest School sessions are free and most will be pre-bookable, so to avoid disappointment on the day, do keep checking back as we add more workshops and session times. |
