A Stitch in Time
Time: throughout the day - just turn up Venue: tbc 'Make do and mend' helps save resources, but do you know how? Come and find out by binging along items of clothing that you would like advice on repairing/repurposing. No prior knowledge needed. No booking is required but if you could register your interest (once the link is live) that will help our planning.
And you can take this opportunity to buy a Mindfulness Inspiration Pack to create your own work of art such as the one shown left. Have a look at the 'Waste not, want not' page for how to bring unwanted fabric lengths, wool, thread, etc. that you can bring to GreenFest to be reused by the OC Textile Centre. |
Forest School
Venue: The Shop Orchard Forest School is new to GreenFest 2022. We have some wonderful local nature champions and experts delivering hands-on, nature-based workshops that will educate, inspire and connect us with the natural world around us.
GreenFest's Forest School will be set in the grounds of the Shop Orchard, where 65 heritage fruit grow in meadowed terraces. The site is close to both the woods and the River Pang - a perfect setting for our school. All our Forest School sessions are free but many have a maximum capacity so, to avoid disappointment, head over to our Forest School meeting point on the day to sign up to the sessions you want to do - the earlier, the better! |
Wellness Workshops
Venue: The Shop Orchard We know, all too well after the last few years, that even our wellbeing is connected to nature. Nature provides our food, our water, it gives us shade and we feel revived when we're outside, breathing it in. Our workshops in the wellness zone will combine practice with appreciation of this natural world.

Eco Cleaning Tips and Hacks
Venue: The Shop Orchard Time: 11.30 While we spend £5bn every year making our homes clean, most of the products we’re using aren’t - they leach beyond our four walls to create an almighty mess. Join Laura, Founder of Seep, as she talks you through her favourite eco cleaning tips and hacks. You'll be amazed at what you can do with just a few ingredients! Plus, keep an eye out for some freebies you could win.
At Seep we believe everyone should be able to carry out household chores without hurting our planet. That’s why we’ve created a plastic free range of home care products, including sponges, cloths and bin liners, that are gentle on people, the planet, and the eye. |
